As part of The Relay For Life weekend local fundraisers Sye Webster and Hamish Fairweather have looked out their old school ties and shorts to organise a football match between former pupils from Arbroath High School and Arbroath Academy ex pupils on September 19. at 6.30 p.m.

Hamish said: “Both Sye and I, like many people have lost family and friends to this terrible disease and we are doing our wee bit to help in the fight to beat it.

“We hope there will be a good crowd at the High School playing fields to see the match where all the players are over 35 years old.”

Ironically Hamish who is running the High School team now works part time at the Academy and has been getting some good natured banter from both the staff and pupils!
