It is with amazing grace that the UK’s most renowned Gospel Choir is making a pit stop in Arbroath.
St Andrew’s Parish Church has managed to score an evening performance from the hugely successful London Community Gospel Choir.
This is to be the only Scottish date on the choir’s 30th Anniversary Church Tour.
No stranger to fame the choir counts Kylie Minogue, Madonna, George Michael and Blur as just a few of the celeb stars they have shared the stage with, not to mention performances at BBC Proms, Glastonbury and other high profile venues.
Famed for their spirit-lifting gospel classics, swing-beat rhythm and blues and modern take on traditional Christian music it is with great excitement that Arbroath welcomes this prestigious choir.
The Reverend at St Andrew’s Parish Church, Martin Fair said: “I enquired about the choir coming here and thought nothing more of it as they usually only visit big cities. They really are a huge name choir and I am delighted that they are performing here.”
The show is on Friday September 19. Doors open at 7 p.m. for 7.45 p.m. start. Tickets are £10, available from the church office or online at www.eventbrite.com
