BRAVE dookers hoping for a wet and cold start to 2013 are being advised of a change of venue to the annual New Year’s Day Dook.
The event, which is organised in aid of Cancer Research UK, had been due to take place at the West Links.
But now the dip in the freezing North Sea will be held at Arbroath Lifeboat Station with dookers able to enter the water beside the shed.
There will also be changing facilities available there.
Around 66 hardy dookers took part in the event earlier this year and the dip will take place on January 1 at 1 p.m.
Entry is £5 and anybody wanting to take part should contact Alana Loudon on email@example.com or 07881940418.
Spectators are also welcome to show their support.
