AS CHRISTMAS approaches, the Angus Members’ Centre of the National Trust for Scotland invites you to enter into the spirit of the season with their Carols at Dun on Thursday, December 16.
This is an audience participation event rather than a concert, and the song sheets provided include many old favourites such as ‘Oh Little Town of Bethlehem’, ‘Away in a Manger’ and ‘The First Noel’ to get everyone into the spirit of the season. The musical accompaniment will once again be provided by the Montrose Town Band.
This year the concert has changed venue and will be in Dun Church, just off the road from Mains of Dun to Stracathro. Mains of Dun is on the A935 Montrose – Brechin road about three miles west of Montrose.
The traditional mince pies and refreshments will be served next door in the Church Hall after the carols.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and is open to all. No pre-booking is necessary, but the event has become very popular, therefore it is advisable to come early to get the best seats.
The admission charge is £3 for adults, free for children and includes refreshments after the concert.
