A NEW chairman of Arbroath Round Table was installed at the organisation’s recent annual general meeting.
Jamie Buchan was handed the chain of office by outgoing chairman Malcolm Scott, who has led the group for the past 12 months.
Outgoing chairman Malcolm said: “It was an absolute honour to have been chairman this last year.
“I have gained an immense amount of pleasure from the projects and events we have pulled off and what we have given back to the community in that time.”
And taking over Jamie explained: “I look forward to leading this group of men whom I have the privilege to call friends and fellow Tablers.
“Malcolm led the group with his heart and soul and I have big shoes to fill. ART is in a healthy position with a good group of 15 guys who get together on a regular basis and we have a great programme for this year ahead.
“There is always room for more guys at the Table though if you are a good bloke aged 18 to 45 and want to give a little back to the community in which we live, then get in touch. It is honestly one of the best decisions you’ll ever make to come to Round Table.”
