THE DATE for a fund-raiser in support of ‘Daniel’s Dream’ has been brought forward.
The prize bingo evening at the Helen Street clubrooms of the Royal British Legion Scotland has been changed from Tuesday, December 4, to Monday, December 3, due to a double booking.
Daniel Mathieson suffers from the disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which has already claimed the lives of his brothers John and James.
His family have been fund-raising to take him on one last family holiday to his dream destination of Disneyworld Florida.
Through the generosity of the community, the Mathiesons have raised the £10,000 needed to pay for the trip, as well as enough for specialist medical insurance.
Daniel’s father Norman said: “Everything is all sorted, the flights, the visas, car hire and the insurance, everything.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. with eyes down at 7.30 p.m., and entry is £1. In addition to the normal cash prizes there will be a £100 prize draw, and a raffle for which the Daniel’s Dream team are taking donations.
