MSP encourages reading

ANGUS South MSP Graeme Dey is inviting people to pick up a free book which is being offered as part of Book Week Scotland.

Copies of ‘My Favourite Place’ are available from Mr Dey’s office at 282 High Street from Monday (November 26) until December 2.

‘My Favourite Place’ is a collection of stories about Scotland featuring a range of writers including Michael Palin, Newtyle-based James Robertson, Liz Lochhead, and includes exclusive artwork from Alasdair Gray.

Mr Dey’s constituency office asked the Scottish Book Trust for copies of the book to ensure Angus residents don’t miss out.

His office has also sent boxes of the one-off collection of writings to organisations across Angus South.

Commenting, Mr Dey said: “Reading is one of life’s great pleasures, and I would encourage anyone interested in getting their free copy of ‘My Favourite Place’ to stop by my office in Arbroath.”
