Crafty Kerryanne Lamont has taken the leap from online to high street with her popular Arbroath-based gift and handicraft business.
Mrs Lamont Crafts has built up a strong customer base through internet sales, locally and further afield.
“Once the business developed and word had spread I started doing craft fairs. Lots of customers started to ask if I had a shop, which made me think I could do it,” said Kerryanne.
On her journey home Kerryanne frequently passed the perfect empty unit.
“I thought the process would be complicated, which put me off, but it really isn’t.
“All you need to do is rent it out!”
Kerryanne used to work full-time but after falling pregnant she wanted to be able to stay with her son.
“I’ve always been crafty so started making things and it took off,” she said.
The shop opens on Monday and is already filling up with unique gift cards, fresh new gift ideas and funky designs.
“All I would say to new and potential customers is ‘if you have an idea, I can make it!”
Visit the new shop at the top of Arbroath High Street, across from the Abbey, to check out all the crafty delights for yourself.
