There was something for everyone at the weekend as more than 300 people turned out for the Arbroath Town Mission fun day.

The now annual event was held on Saturday at the Mission centre and, according to organisers, attendance topped the 350 mark.

A great range of activities were enjoyed by all, including a boxing workshop from well-known Arbroath pugilist Doug Ford, a games loft and big screen Wii games, a craft table to make your own pirate hat, balloon modelling, free refreshments and more.

Everyone who came along also received a party bag to take home.

Arbroath Town Mission pastor Dave Webster said: “It all went really well and we had approximately 350 people. Last year’s total was a guesstimate based on the number of party bags handed out but this time we kept a count.

‘‘ It was just wonderful to see so many people from the community coming in to enjoy a fun day at the Mission.

‘‘ It was really well received and enjoyed by children and adults alike.

‘‘We are also grateful to Marjory MacDonald Solicitors for their £100 donation to support this free event.”
