AN ARBROATH man will have some paranormal help to fund a dream holiday.

Daniel’s Dream was set up by the parents of Daniel Mathieson (21) who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchenne has already claimed the lives of Daniel’s two brothers, John and James, and it is hoped the campaign will fund a trip to Disneyland Florida for what sadly may be their last family trip.

The family has been joined by medium James Cameron, who has so far raised £2,888.14, and Victor and Hazel Collins from the Rainbow of Light and Spiritual Light Within Churches.

They will be hosting a series of fund-raising medium evenings in the coming weeks. The first will be at the Royal British Legion Scotland clubrooms, Helen Street, on October 30, at 7.30 p.m. Entry is £10.

Similar events will take place at the Links Hotel, Montrose, at 7.30 p.m. on November 14 and at the Victory Memorial Hall, St Andrews, on November 17, also 7.30 p.m.

There will also be a prize bingo evening at the Helen Street Royal British Legion clubrooms on Tuesday evening from 7.30 p.m.

Dad Norman said: “We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped us out so far. Local companies have donated a total of £1,750 and £800 was raised from waxathons. “We’re roughly sitting at about £6,600 just now.”

The plan is to spend 29 days in Florida, visiting places such as Disneyland, Cape Canaveral and Tampa Bay, which will be much easier if they can hire a specialised van.
