A TEAM of Royal Marines will be rolling into Arbroath later this month as part of a marathon charity effort.
The group, led by WO2 Baz Gray are roller skiing all the way from John O Groats to Lands End and stopping off at all the major Royal Marine towns on the way in aid of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
The event, which starts on September 20 will see the five strong team reach Arbroath on September 22.
And once they reach the town, they hope local people will come out and show their support.
Baz said: “We will be setting up our stance in the town in order to talk to the public about the reasons for our challenge and to engage with them as much as we can.
“Hopefully they will throw a few pennies in our buckets as well.
“It will also be to show support for the many 45 Commando families that have family members currently in Afghanistan.
“The more people that come and see us the more support we give our injured marines.”
