Man suffers serious injuries in collision

A 76 YEAR-OLD man has been rushed to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Arbroath’s Ernest Street.

The incident occurred around 7.15 a.m. Today (Thursday) and involved a silver Citroen Xsara.

The man, who was a pedestrian suffered broken legs, a head injury and also possibly has internal injuries. The 29 year-old woman driver is unhurt.

Police closed the road while crash investigators carried out enquiries but it has now been re-opened.
