POLICE have confirmed that a man who was seriously injured in a road collision in Colliston near Arbroath earlier this month has died in hospital.

Kevin Fotheringham (34) was involved in a traffic collision on the C51 road between Woodville and Connonsyth on May 17.

Mr Fotheringham, of West Grange of Conon, was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after the incident but sadly died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision on Sunday evening.

Police say his family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed.

They do not wish to make any further comment and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
