MALCOLM Scott has accepted the position of chairman from Ian Lorimer at the recent annual general meeting of Arbroath Round Table.
Reflecting on his year as chairman Ian said: “My priorities for the year were to increase the membership as well as continue with the fund-raising and community service initiatives that the club have been very successful with over many years.
“We’ve had a very successful few months with eight new members coming along with many of them in their 20s so the club is very healthy now and gives a great base to start the Round Table year with as we have some great projects coming up.”
Taking up the reigns for his year as chairman, Malcolm is very much looking to the projects Arbroath Round Table have ahead.
He said: “I have been a member of Arbroath Round Table for two-and-a-half years now and it is a great honour to be given the position of chairman and lead this great bunch of guys over the next 12 months.”
At the meeting Jamie Buchan was also elected as vice-president.
