Patients, staff and visitors at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar are being treated to a free exhibition of photography by Kirriemuir photographer Malcolm McBeath.
The exhibition runs throughout June and July and features some of Malcolm’s favourite images of atmospheric landscapes, wildlife, travel and abstract scenes.
Photography has been a hobby of Malcolm’s for many years. A past president of Dundee Photographic Society, he is also a member of the Royal Photographic Society, having been awarded an Associateship some years ago.
Exhibitions which have featured his images include The Scottish International Salon of Photography, The Edinburgh International Exhibition and his images have been published in several books and magazines. Competition successes include winning the Scottish Field and the WWF (Scotland) competitions and being a finalist in the prestigious BBC Countryfile competition.
Exhibitions at the centre are changed every eight weeks and the majority of the works of art are for sale with each artist donating 20 per cent commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund. All money raised is used to enhance the Whitehills environment.
The gallery is located in the centre’s main corridor.
