ARBROATH FC had their very own celebrity fan in the stands cheering on the Lichties against Berwick Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Breakfast TV presenter Lorraine Kelly was a guest at the match and enjoyed the day out at Gayfield sampling the club’s hospitality.
Arbroath chairman John Christison had met Lorraine, who is an avid Dundee United supporter, at Tannadice recently and insisted she come to Gayfield to take in a game.
Lorraine then said she would be delighted to attend and on her Twitter account on Saturday morning she posted: “It’s snowing here in Dundee – off to Gayfield later to see Arbroath v Berwick Rangers! Could be a cold one!”
But after seeing the Maroons boost their title hopes with a 2-1 win she later tweeted: “Two one to Arbroath – great day! Brilliant hospitality – so friendly – good luck to all at the club.”
