More than £500 was presented to the British Heart Foundation recently through the efforts of young people in Arbroath.

Students from Arbroath Academy and Ladybird Playgroup presented the national charity with a cheque for £544.28 which was raised during the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Ramp Up The Red’ campaign earlier this year.

Staff and students raised the money by wearing red, having their faces painted and selling home baking.

The decision was made to take part in memory of Arbroath Academy pupil Kloë Richardson who passed away suddenly last year.

Our picture shows the cheque being handed over by the young fund-raisers.
