This morning (Thursday) Police Scotland executed the latest stage of their continuing battle against drug trafficking with raids throughout Angus.

Operation Bellewood, launched from the Gravesend Police Station in Arbroath targeted addresses in Arbroath, Forfar and Kirriemuir suspected to be involved in the supply of illegal substances.

Two van loads of officers raided an address in Priory Crescent, which is just round the corner from Noran Avenue, which had previously been the target of Operation Trillium.

Early reports from the raids throughout Angus indicate that Operation Bellewood has resulted in one person being detained for involvement in the supply of drugs, another charged for possession and a third arrested for a matter unrelated to the operation itself.
