Surge in Relay participants

Spring might be a few weeks away yet but things are really heating up on the Arbroath Relay for Life web-page.

This week saw a surge in registration with 11 teams now booked in for this year’s Relay For Life.

Commenting on the week’s activity, Relay committee chair, Ian Angus said: “We have 11 teams and 44 people registered. That is unprecedented at this stage and very heartening. Last year’s event finished on a high and we took the decision to keep the momentum going by starting planning for this year’s event as soon as we could.

“That decision plus an infusion of new blood on the committee appears to be paying dividends.”

A new facebook page has been set up and within hours of going live, it received a steady stream of ‘likes’ as it provides information and updates.
