Three community groups were rewarded by the Sea Fest organising committee last week for their support of the 2013 show.

The Arbroath Sea Fest 2014 committee met with representatives of Arbroath Rugby Club, Arbroath Sea Cadets and 2422 (Arbroath) Squadron, Air Training Corps, at the Old Boatyard to present them with a donation as a token of their thanks.

In recognition of their support Arbroath Rugby Club received a donation of £700, while Arbroath Sea Cadets and 2422 (Arbroath) Squadron, Air Training Corps each received a donation of £200.

“This is our way of saying thank you to these groups for their invaluable assistance at last year’s Arbroath Sea Fest,” said Lynn Cameron, treasurer of Arbroath Sea Fest.

Sea Fest will take place over the weekend of August 9 and 10 and will showcase the maritime heritage of this area along with local musical talent and community groups. There will also be a range of stalls, activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
