Relay for Life approaches target

As teams prepare for another busy weekend of fund-raising for cancer research, the Arbroath Relay for Life Committee is issuing an open invitation to a meeting at the Cricket Club on Tuesday evening.

The meeting is for anyone who is thinking of registering a team, as well as for those already registered. So far, there are a record 26 teams registered but Relay chair Ian Angus says there is still room for more.

“When we started planning for this year’s Relay, I had a notional target of 30 registered teams, with the hope that we might get something approaching that. As we stand, with 26 registered, that target is within our reach. We are aware of a number of people who are considering entering a team and they are welcome to come along on Tuesday night to hear the latest updates,” Ian commented.

Anyone wishing to take part in this year’s Relay For Life in Arbroath can do so by logging on to the Cancer Research UK relay for Life Website and following the links. Further information may be obtained by contacting Relay chair, Ian Angus on 07928521030 or team chair Brian Cargill on brian@cargill.uk.com
