The academic and personal achievements of pupils throughout Angus and 
beyond were recognised 
at a special awards 
ceremony last week.

Last week at Glamis Castle the venerable Edinburgh Angus Club presented awards to pupils from a number of schools. Edinburgh Angus Club has around 260 members and was established in 1840 to advance education in Angus.

The following pupils were presented with awards for showing outstanding academic or personal merit.

Arbroath Academy

Jason Talbert - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Proxime Accessit.

Rachel Brandie - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux of the School.

Arbroath High School

Scott McMillan - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux in Art and Design.

Abbie Brewer - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux in Biology and Dux in Geography.

Rebecca Clark - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux in Geology.

Greg Robson - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux in Physics.

Carnoustie High School

Jenny Forteath - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Advanced Higher Expressive Arts.

Hana Smith - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Advanced Higher Languages.

Mairi Clark - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Advanced Higher Mathematics and Advanced Higher Earth Sciences.

Jessica Blackburn - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Advanced Higher Science.

Molly Gunn - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux of the 
School.

Monifieth High School

Rebecca Creamer - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Proxime Accessit.

Anna Brown - The Edinburgh Angus Award for Dux of the School.

Dundee and Angus College

Scott Main - The Edinburgh Angus Club Ladies Award; this was presented to Scott Main by Dr. T. S. Callaghan at Arbroath Campus on 13th June 2014.
