Plaudits for local talent in shows

The LimeLight Theatre Company has been performing Les Miserables this week.

The last two weeks have seen local talent to the fore in productions at the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath.

And a reader, Nyona Nicol, has heaped praise on those involved in the productions of Annie and Les Miserables.

She said: “I have just returned from the Webster Theatre after watching the most fantastic performance of Les Miserable. The youths that were chosen for the leading roles totally deserved the place they were given but every one of the cast was amazing.

“I have written before to applaud the talent that we have in Angus and this has just proved it once again! Well done Limelight for this astounding performance.”

Nyona continued: “Last week I also had the great pleasure of seeing the production of Annie. I have seen Annie three times now, including one performance in Edinburgh but this is by far the best production. The Annie and Miss Hannigan were my favourites but every one of the cast should be very proud of their fantastic performances. Well done to you all.

“Please everyone support local talent because although we want these cast members to go far in their careers and achieve their goals and dreams, if we don’t support the local production companies, the talent will be gone.”
