Stagecoach have announced that their Coastrider X7 service will be making an additional stop in Arbroath to help local passengers.
The change took effect from Monday and also saw some minor timetable changes.
The service will now serve the two shelters at Elliot roundabout, where there is on-street parking and a pedestrian crossing.
And the bus company hope this will provide an alternative location within the town for bus users to either drop off or meet passengers.
The other revisions undertaken by Stagecoach have incorporated some changes to early morning and late evening journeys, with certain journeys revised to start and finish at Arbroath bus station.
Andrew Jarvis, managing director of Stagecoach Strathtay said: “Although the X7 is a limited stop service, which allows for fast journey times for our customers, adding and additional stop in Arbroath will make the service more accessible to residents of Arbroath.”
The Coastrider X7 service was launched in September 2011 and operates between Aberdeen and Dundee via Stonehaven, Montrose and Arbroath.
