Alan Connelly and Jonathan Yeoman, partners of Connelly & Yeoman, solicitors and estate agents, have appointed two new associates.
Barry Dewar and Emma Smith took up their posts with the company, which has offices at 78 High Street, Arbroath, and 31 High Street, Carnoustie, on January 1.
Emma attended Carnoustie High School and studied Law at the University of Dundee graduating in 2004 with an LLB (Honours) degree. She completed the Diploma in Legal Practice in 2005 and thereafter her legal traineeship.
She worked for a large firm in Dundee prior to joining Connelly & Yeoman. She lives in Carnoustie and works in both the firm’s Carnoustie and Arbroath offices dealing predominantly with wills, trusts, executries, powers of attorneys as well as conveyancing matters. She is also a student member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Barry lives in Monifieth with his wife and young daughter. He attended Monifieth High School and then the University of Dundee where he graduated with an LLB (Honours) degree in 2006 and completed his Diploma in Legal Practice in 2007.
Barry joined the staff at Connelly & Yeoman as a legal trainee in May, 2007, and after completing his traineeship has continued to be employed as a qualified solicitor working mainly in the areas of estate agency and conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney and executries. Barry also works in both the Arbroath and Carnoustie offices.
