Angus MP Mike Weir has praised the work of Arbroath-based Angus Training Group after a visit to the facility on Friday.
The organisation works with employers throughout Angus and further afield to train apprentices in engineering.
Mr Weir was shown around the facility by Alan Swankie who explained how the organisation worked and showed him the different types of work undertaken to give the apprentices a secure grounding in their engineering careers.
And the Angus MP was pleased with the dedication by staff and apprentices alike.
He explained: “I was very impressed by the facilities at Angus Training Group and the obvious dedication of the directors and staff to provide very high quality training for apprentices.
“It speaks highly of the group and the high quality of the training that they provide that they attract apprentices not only from Angus but also from areas such as Aberdeen.
“Developing and maintaining high quality manufacturing industries is essential for the future of the Scottish economy and the group play and important part in this work.”
