An Arbroath conjurer is
hoping for a touch of magic for his 12-hour charity show this weekend.

Well-known man of mystery Michael Brandie is putting on a marathon magic show to raise money for the Arbroath Relay For Life campaign
and is hoping that the community will come out to support him tomorrow
(Saturday).

With a number of highly successful shows under his belt and a legion of fans in the town and further
afield, Michael has decided to turn his skills to fund-raising for the fight
against cancer.

He will perform 12 back to back shows to a live audience at the Abbey Theatre, Abbot Street, from 10 a.m. to the last show starting at 9 p.m.

Tickets are £5 per person and £15 for a family of four, the audience is advised to arrive 15 minutes before the show starts in order to keep the event flowing.

There have been some changes to the advertised show, with grand plans for a big screen to show off up-close-and-personal tricks falling foul of technical hitches, but Michael is undeterred.

He said: “It’s still on and it’s still 12 hours. I’m excited, there is that nervous thing with some of the changes that have had to happen, but I’ll just roll with it.

“There’ll be some of my family friendly material from previous stage shows mixed in with some new material.

“I’m just excited by the challenge of doing magic for 12 hours non-stop but I’m sure the crowd will help me get through.

“I’m excited about doing the whole show and
seeing it all come off.”

Michael is also positively encouraging people to film some of his tricks and upload it to the web, Tweet and Facebook about it throughout the day in order that the show goes viral and as much money as possible is raised for the Relay For Life.
