The organisers of Arbroath Town Mission’s first children’s holiday club have hailed the week of fun activities a great success.
The holiday club was run by the Town Mission from Monday to Friday mornings last week and was attended by around 50 youngsters for all or part of the week.
It was open to those entering Primary One right up to children moving into secondary school.
Activities included games, crafts, drama and action songs, as well as learning bible stories and making new friends.
On Friday parents were invited along for a prize-giving and parents evening which was also well attended.
The following Sunday morning service was also themed around the holiday club with some of the families met during the week coming along.
Mission Pastor Dave Webster said: “We were really thrilled with how well the club went.
“It was very important to us that we were able to offer the club for free to the local community and it was great to have so many kids coming, especially as this is the first year we have run the club.
“It was also great to have such an enthusiastic team of over 20 volunteers helping to make the week happen.”
