Members of the Arbroath-based 45 Commando Veterans (Scotland) celebrated the fifth birthday of their group with a special party at the weekend. On Saturday afternoon members gathered in the Foundry Bar where the occasion was marked with a suitably adorned cake and a few glasses of port. Since the group formed five years ago members have been committed to supporting worthwhile local causes by raising money and donating items. As part of the 350th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Marine Corps the group will host a Corps Dinner later this year and in November will fly to Malta to take part in the island’s Armistice Day Parade.
