Members of the Arbroath Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild are in for a rare treat at their annual general meeting today (Friday).
Not only will they be holding one of their famed cream teas but their guest speaker will be exploring a 200 year old mystery.
The meeting begins at 2 p.m. in the function suite of the Royal British Legion Scotland clubrooms, Helen Street. Tickets are £2 and are available from the committee or by calling 01241 872097.
Karen E. Hooton will speak to the company about her research into the mystery of the Arbroath Robe. A spectacular example of needlework of maritime history, it has a connection to the Arbroath lifeboat which Karen will reveal.
