Libraries to offer iPad lessons

Local libraries are offering residents throughout the county a free beginners’ course to learn the basics of using an iPad.

Comprised of seven hours of tutor-led learning and delivered by staff in a relaxed environment, this is the perfect course to help people learn the basic operations of an iPad tapping, swiping, pinching and using an onscreen keyboard.

Along with the basic operations of the iPad, the course will also cover apps for taking photographs and videos, or staying in touch using either FaceTime or Skype.

For dates, times and locations or to book a place, contact your local library, or call Paula Fenwick on 01241 435609.

The course is free thanks to the support from the Scottish Government Public Libraries Improvement Fund and the Scottish Library and Information Council and iPads will be provided for the training.
