An Arbroath guest house is in the running for a top award having made the shortlist for the AA’s Friendliest Bed and Breakfast Awards 2014.
A warm welcome and outstanding hospitality has seen five Scottish establishments named as finalists.
And the Hayswell Guest House, Hayswell Road, Arbroath is one of the five.
This is a great achievement for all establishments who are among just 25 finalists shortlisted from more than 2,500 bed & breakfasts inspected by the AA.
All the finalists have been nominated by the AA’s hotel inspectors and the winning B&B will be awarded the coveted title at the AA’s Bed and Breakfast Awards lunch to be held on May 13 at the St Ermin’s Hotel in London.
Ian and Linda Fletcher always make sure their guests feel at home at Hayswell Guest House.
The couple’s philosophy is simple in that ‘the best is only just good enough’ and strive to provide good old fashioned friendly, polite, unobtrusive service and excellent breakfasts.
Talking of their nomination, Ian said: ‘To be chosen as a finalist of this prestigious award puts into perspective all the hard work we have done over five years.
“We are honoured and delighted to have been selected for the final.”
