One of the biggest community concerts to be held in the Webster is entering the final stages of preparation.

There are only a couple of weeks to go until the Arbroath Rotary Club stages its concert in the Webster Memorial Theatre to fund-raise for automatic external defibrillators to placed in strategic locations around the town.

Earlier this week producer James Hutcheson, organiser Iain Grimmond and club president Ian Lamb held a meeting with performers to discuss the logistics of putting on a show featuring around 300 people.

James said: “Arbroath has a great track record for supporting Webster shows featuring talent from the community and this one looks like being no different.

“There are some fabulous acts, with the accent very much on youth, and a huge variety encompassing singing, dancing and comedy. It’s going to be a great show.”

Tickets are now on sale at the theatre box office.
