Angus Housing Association today (Tuesday) handed over the keys to the tenants of the first new houses it has built in nearly two years.

Stewart Milne Homes recently completed the first eight of 24 new homes that they are building for the Association as part of the major Monarch’s Rise development at Montrose Road, Arbroath.

Helping out with the ceremonial handover of the first keys at the £2.75 million development was Councillor Donald Morrison, the communities convenor of Angus Council.

The happy recipient of the keys was Duncan Madge, who along with his partner, Sarah Sibbit, and their three children, will be moving from a short term private tenancy in a flat in central Arbroath to a new three bedroomed cottage type house.
