Arbroath street survey participants thanked

Angus Council has expressed its thanks to everyone who one who took part in a street survey in Arbroath High Street last week.

The survey, which was carried out by the council, partner agencies and a group of local residents, and was part of a wider consultation about the availability of local information about groups and activities for adults, the over 50s in particular, and how easy it is to find it.

68 per cent of respondents thought that it was not easy to access information; 96 per cent thought a local directory would be very useful; 91 per cent would use a printed directory and 67 per cent said they would be happy to access information online.

A council spokesperson said: “We are grateful to everyone who took part in the street survey and the broader consultation, and a number of people have offered to get involved in the production of a local booklet and website.

“There is still time to give your views or find out more information, either by coming along to a meeting at Arbroath Library on Wednesday morning (June 11 at 10.30 a.m.) or by contacting our local communities team on 01241 438255.”
