Crowds lined the streets outside the Abbey as Darlings Jayne Burnett took the baton at the top of the High Street and jogged effortlessly to the Abbey entrance.
Cheers of encouragement and lots of flag waving heralded the well-travelled baton into Abroath’s most iconic building.
Nominated for the honour by Darlings Coffee Shop, Jayne Burnett said: I’m a little nervous but also excited.”
Baton marshalls jogged ahead of the baton high fiving members of the public and motivating the crowd.
Jayne moved towards the Abbey where she met Brother Andrew before running back out into the crowd.
The baton then moved on to RM Condor by bus before visiting the rest of Angus.
