Angus Council is calling on all of its green thumbed tenants as the authority’s annual garden competition approaches.

Is your garden a riot of colour, your shrubs spectacular, your flowers flourishing? If so don’t hide your beautiful begonias under the proverbial bush!

You can find out more about nominating your own garden or a neighbour’s garden for this year’s Beautiful Angus Garden awards by calling ACCESSLine on 08452 777778 or popping into your local ACCESS office.

Local housing officers and communities teams can also offer information about the awards.

Angus Council’s Communities vice-convener councillor Jeanette Gaul said: “I’m sure we’ll see some fantastic gardens again this year, all adding to the colour and character of our communities and making it easy for all of us to be proud of Beautiful Angus!”

The closing date for nominations is Friday, July 11, and the judging will take place during the weeks beginning July 14 and 21.

The winners will receive an award, gardening voucher and certificate.
