Legal Highs retailer 'Declaration' on Brothock Bridge, put up a 'closing down sale' on Monday morning.

An Arbroath store which sells the so-called ‘legal highs’ began a closing down sale today (Monday).

The sign advertising a closing down sale went up this morning in ‘Declaration’ on Brothock Bridge.

Staff were able to confirm that they had been asked by management to display the sign but were unable to give any more details at this time.

‘Declaration’ and the now closed ‘Misty Heaven’ on Fisheracre, have in recent months been at the centre of a furore about the sale of legal highs or NPS (New Psychoactive Substances) which led to the foundation of the Arbroath Against Legal Highs Group which has attracted just under 2,000 members on Facebook.

Chief Inspector Gordon Milne, Local Area Commander for Angus wrote on Twitter: “‘Closing down sale’ sign seen in Arbroath shop window. Could this be some sort of Declaration? There’s a story here boys and girls...”

For the full story pick up a copy of the Arbroath Herald on Friday.
