Table welcome Swedish counterpart
ARBROATH Round Table welcomed one of their Swedish counterparts to the town last week.
Andreas Pettersson from the Brunkeburg Round Table near Stockholm, enjoyed three days with the organisation before they all attended the Central Tablers meeting in Stirling.
Round Table member, Jamie Buchan said: “It was great seeing Andreas and showing him around our town. In true Tabler fashion a beer was shared when we took him out for a meal and a few frames of snooker and some darts.
“Arbroath and its people have a lot to offer and it was good to see Andreas enjoying some of Arbroath’s iconic landmarks and food.
“Andreas couldn’t finish the Smokie fast enough when it came out of the fire pit at Stuart’s Fresh Fish. My thanks to Stuart Scott for giving Andreas a guided tour and taste sensation!”
At last week’s Table meeting, members made a visit to Specsavers Opticians in the Abbeygate Centre for Jamie’s vocation evening.
A donation of £300 was agreed to help fund the Fairybox children’s party. Fairybox is a local charity which helps sick children by providing a gift to children in hospital.
The date was also set for this years Tablers’ Tea Party which will be held on Saturday, March 16.
