School cooks honoured

TWO ARBROATH High School pupils have been cooking up a storm.

Second year pupil, Rebecca Ramsay has won the Citaslaw Trophy in the local finals of Springboard’s Future Chef Competition 2013.

Rebecca has been working closely with Garry Watson from Gordon’s Restaurant in Inverkeilor to develop her skills.

Also being recognised is Ashmita Bhattarai who won the 16 to 18 age category in the Angus Young Chef awards.

Ashmita, who recently moved to Scotland from Nepal, took a traditional Nepalese curry and gave it an Angus twist.
