Radio project for Angus youths

ANGUS Council is in the midst of setting up a community youth radio project.

Angus Youth Action, supported by the authority’s community learning and development service, aims to use the internet to broadcast local programming.

The community radio station will seek to engage all groups in Angus via radio to deliver skills and develop community interaction.

There will be opportunities to gain training and skill accreditation for those taking part. This can include areas such as radio production, recording equipment, interview skills and researching material for broadcast.

The next meeting of the group will take place in Bruce House, Arbroath, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5.

For more information e-mail aya@angus.gov.uk or call Rikki or Grant on 01307 473662.
