PRESTIGIOUS EVENT COMING TO HOSPITALFIELD

FRIENDS of Hospitalfield House have attracted Dundee Literary Festival 2010 to their prestigious Arbroath venue.

This year's first class literary line-up includes award-winning poet and Hospitalfield alumna Jackie Kay, 2010 Costa Prize winner Christopher Reid, Australian author and musician Nick Cave, leading Scottish writer Iain Banks and novelist and Professor of Creative Writing Kirsty Gunn.

The festival will run from June 22 to 27.

Members of the public interested in writing can sign up for two days of tuition on June 22 and 23 by a range of talented writers, for just 125 including meals and shared accommodation or 115 without accommodation.

Develop your poetry style with Jim Stewart, learn how to write a short story with Rachel Marsh or take part in writing masterclasses with award winning authors, Kirsty Gunn, Cynthia Rogerson and Alan Warner.

The classes end with a party for the Literary Festival's publication, New Writing Dundee – meet the writers, discover how to submit your own work and take the chance to network with others.

For more details, biographies of the tutors or accommodation details please contact literarydundee@gmail.com. Places are limited to 20.
