STAFF and volunteers at the Arbroath PDSA store are urging local people to clear out their wardrobes this weekend and to donate any unwanted clothes to help sick and injured pets in the local area.
Bric-a-brac, ornaments and jewellery would also be welcome.
Ladies’ and men’s clothes are all urgently needed, including coats, jackets, jumpers and shoes. Donations can be taken to the store from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pick ups can be arranged for a Thursday from 11 a.m. onwards by prior arrangement.
PDSA store manager, Barbara Ferrans, said: “Perhaps your wardrobe is bulging with unworn clothes or your chest-of-drawers is full to the brim with items that no longer fit? Or maybe you have so much bric-a-brac that the dusting is getting too much?
“Well why not have a sort-out and donate your unwanted items to PDSA?”
She continued: “As well as de-cluttering your home, and making more room for new purchases, you will be helping a very worthy cause at the same time. All the money raised in store helps PDSA treat the sick and injured pets of local people in need.
”We are also looking to recruit volunteers with till experience to help out on the shop floor.”
Located at 227 High Street, Arbroath, the PDSA store raises funds to provide veterinary treatment in the local area.
