New lifejackets for Arbroath RNLI

THE CREW of the Arbroath Lifeboat ‘Inchcape’ received new lifejackets this week.
The lifejackets were provided through more than £9,000 of donations made to the Arbroath Lifeboat Ladies’ Guild. The state of the art lifejackets have been put through their paces by the crew during rigorous training sessions this week.
Anonymous donations raised a total of £6,600, while Cynthia Lyon’s Abbeygate car boot sales provided £1,351.80, the Central Baptist Church gave £80, A. Beattie donated £200 and the Arbroath Lifeboat crew raised £790 themselves from the collection at the firework display.
A spokesperson for the Ladies’ Guild said: “Without the generosity of the above, and many, many more likewise donations the Arbroath Lifeboat crew would be unable to deliver the first class service they provide to all in peril in and around our shores. Many thanks again to everyone who supports this invaluable cause.”
