Lichties’ Celtic clash set to be televised

editorial image

THE LICHTIES are set for another financial windfall after Sky Sports confirmed they will be broadcasting Arbroath’s Scottish Cup replay with Celtic next Wednesday (December 12).

It was hoped the broadcaster would opt to show the game after Saturday’s heroics which saw the Gayfield men earn a famous draw at Parkhead.

Preparations are now in full swing to prepare the club for the visit of Neil Lennon’s men and the Sky cameras.

It is expected that tickets for the clash will go on sale to season ticket holders and share holders on Friday.

Tickets will then go on general sale on Saturday when Arbroath have a league fixture at Gayfield against Stenhousemuir.

Remember to pick up your Arbroath Herald on Friday for all the pre-match build-up to the replay and coverage of the momentous day at Parkhead on Saturday.
