House break-in

POLICE in Arbroath are appealing for witnesses after a break-in to a house in West Newgate at about 5.30 p.m. on Friday. Inquiries are ongoing to establish what was taken.

Officers are keen to trace two men, both aged in their early 20s who were seen in the area at the time.

The first man is described as being between five foot three inches and five foot seven inches tall with short fair hair. At the time he was wearing dark coloured clothing. The other man was on a bicycle and both were last seen heading along John Street.

Anyone who has any information as to the identity of the two men should contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
