Free energy check

OLDER or disabled people in Arbroath are to be offered an energy tariff check thanks to a charity organisation.

Angus Care and Repair has received training from Angus Council trading standards so clients of the organisation can make sure they are getting the best energy deals.

Often many people who have no internet access find it more difficult to get the necessary information to decide whether to change tariff.

The scheme has already helped people in Forfar, Kirriemuir, Brechin and Montrose and now people who need assistance in Arbroath will be targeted.

Angus Care and Repair manager Judith Leslie explained: “Many older and disabled people could really benefit from investigating possible savings. We would like to encourage our client group to come to us to investigate possible savings.

“This is completely confidential and there is no push to make a decision. With the cold weather and money having to stretch further it is important to consider any ways of saving money and keeping warm that we can.”

In order to refer yourself for a home visit please contact the Angus Care and Repair office on 01307 463232.
