Communities grant for dance sessions
MSP FOR Angus South Graeme Dey has welcomed the distribution of awards totalling £5,585 across his constituency as part of the Big Lottery Fund’s 2014 Communities programme.
One of the recipients was Timmergreens Primary School which received a £1,980 award to engage dance instructors to deliver blocks of dance sessions to the nurseries and infant classes in all primary schools in Arbroath.
This grant will fund 321 Go Dance DVDs and coaching sessions.
Card workshops
TWO CARD making workshops will take place at Arbroath’s Signal Tower Museum, Ladyloan, next Saturday (February 11). The first will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second is from 2 to 4 p.m.
The workshops are aimed at six-to-12-year-olds and youngsters are invited to join staff at the museum to create Valentine gifts for friends and family. Charge for each session is £2 per person and booking is essential as spaces are limited.
