Christmas gifts for veterans

editorial image

A GROUP of retired military veterans took to the road last week to spread some Christmas cheer.

Members of the Arbroath based 45 Veterans Scotland group and fellow retired commandoes took the unit bus to the Ancaster British Limbless Ex Servicemen’s Association (BLESMA) home in Crieff.

There they presented BLESMA with a cheque for £100, and together with colleagues from The Scots Guards distributed bottles of port, whisky, vodka and beer.

The Ancaster BLESMA Home was opened in 1963 and provides 24 hour residential and respite care for injured service personnel.
