Light up the night

As well as being a visual feast, the Seafront Firework Spectacular next month will also have a strong musical element.

The event is being organised by Arbroath Events and takes place at Victoria Park on Tuesday, November 5, starting at 4 p.m. The fireworks display begins at 7.30 p.m.

Live on stage at the event will be singer/songwriter Cheryl Brown, Forfar band ‘Around 7’ and Arbroath’s very own ‘Declaration’. The music will begin at 5 p.m. Also on offer will be a funfair, stalls, street entertainment and one of Kerr’s miniature buses. Compere for the evening will be well known local DJ, Jivin’ Jim.

Councillor David Fairweather stated: “This is the Arbroath Events final ‘Seafront Spectacular’ and they have promised to bow out with a bang.”

The councillor cautioned that there will be no parking at Victoria Park on the night. He urges people to make time to find an alternative place to park so they are not late for the show.

Charities, Arbroath Skatepark Project, the RNLI, Arbroath Town Mission and CAFE Project, will benefit from a bucket collection, but only donate to stewards displaying an ‘Arbroath Events’ vest.
